Confucius Institute at the University at Buffalo Part of a network of approximately 300 Confucius Institutes around the world, the Confucius Institute at the University at Buffalo is dedicated to promoting the teaching of Chinese language and culture in Western New York. The institute is a collaborative initiative involving UB's Asian Studies Program, Capital Normal University, UB's longstanding partner in Beijing, and the Chinese Language Council International (Hanban). Major funding for the Confucius Institute comes from Hanban and the UB College of Arts and Sciences. UB's Confucius Institute now has its own website!
